ACUPRESSURE
The Art of Acupuncture is among the numerous modalities of Chinese Medicine and dates back more than 2500 years. Its practice has been redefined and refined over centuries thanks to scholarly practitioners.
Traditional Chinese Medicine envisions a universe in which everything is interconnected. The body, mind, and spirit cannot be separated; they indeed form an energetic system where all structures work together to ensure its proper functioning.
From a Western Medicine perspective, Acupuncture affects the central nervous system, neurotransmitters, inflammation, and local blood circulation.
AROMATHERAPY
Aromatherapy stimulates the olfactory sense through the use of Essential Oils. These Oils are extracted from roots, resin, leaves, flowers, fruits found worldwide.
Some of them have either stimulating or calming effects supporting physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being.
Essential Oils are a significant tool for conditions related to delicate organ issues in Chinese Medicine.
Inhaling Essential Oils sends signals to the Olfactory System and consequently to the brain to produce specific neurotransmitters and provide the desired effects.
CUPPING
Cupping creates suction by placing the cup on the skin.
In terms of Chinese Medicine, cupping warms and circulates Blood & Qi, dispels Wind and Cold.
This technique relieves muscle tension and toxins. It also increases local blood circulation by stretching the subcutaneous tissues, activating the neuro-endocrine and immune systems.
PREGNANCY
Chinese Medicine offers alternative solutions to ailments suffered during pregnancy. It also supports fertility, balance during pregnancy, and postpartum recovery.
Relief from ailments (nausea, dizziness, extreme fatigue...) suffered by pregnant women is possible.
Also, specific points are stimulated to suggest the baby reposition in the uterus, others to support the production of prolactin essential for breastfeeding.
Non-invasive care is adapted to the stage of pregnancy and to each woman, from pre-conception to the 4th postpartum trimester.
GUA SHA
Guasha involves rubbing the skin with a massage tool to improve local blood circulation. Guasha is used to encourage the flow of Blood and Qi seen in Chinese Medicine as a cause of imbalance.
It also offers anti-inflammatory and immune properties by the deliberate provocation of the petechiae mechanism.
MOXIBUSTION
Moxibustion involves the combustion of moxa mugwort - Artemisia Vulgaris - close to the skin to heat the area where the acupuncture point to eliminate local or meridian stagnation.
From a Western perspective, its mechanism of action is related to its thermal property, its combustion affecting the superficial and deep tissues of the skin.
CHINESE PHARMACOPOEIA
Chinese Pharmacopoeia employs natural substances of plant, mineral, fungal, and sometimes animal origin with therapeutic virtues.
The synergy created by the combination of different ingredients optimizes the benefits and assimilation in the body.
TUINA
Tui Push
Na Grasp
Frees the tendinous meridians (muscles, tendons, ligaments) and facilitates joint movements. TuiNa relaxes the muscles, warms them up, invigorates Qi and Blood, and disperses stagnant energies.
TuiNa produces analgesic effects.
